About

Written by Kuldeepak Katwal

I'm Kuldeepak Katwal. I built EaseMyPease because I talk faster than I type, and because the dictation tools I tried kept breaking on the way people actually speak: switching between languages mid-sentence without thinking about it.

Most dictation apps treat that as a mistake to correct. This one treats it as normal.

What it does

You hold a key, you talk, and the text appears where your cursor already is: in Mail, WhatsApp, Slack, Notes, a code editor, the terminal. There is no window to open first and nothing to copy and paste. It punctuates for you, and it learns the names and jargon you use, which stay on your Mac.

Built for more than English

Transcription covers 30+ languages, and mixing two of them in one sentence doesn't break it. As of version 0.2.3 the grammar clean-up runs in all of them too, so a Hindi or Spanish sentence comes out as tidy as an English one.

Who makes it

One person, not a company. I sell EaseMyPease as an individual through Paddle, who handle payments and tax worldwide. The support email comes to me, and I answer it.

What happens to your voice

Your audio is processed and then discarded. None of it is stored, and none of it trains a model. Your dictionary and your history never leave your Mac.

Where it's going

The app updates itself, so fixes reach you without hunting for downloads. If something doesn't work, tell me [email protected]. I read every message.
